Solihull is appproximately 10 miles South of Birmingham. It can be easily reached via the M42 or M40. Barston is a small village nestling between the towns of Balsall Common and Knowle roughly 4 miles east of Solihull.
Barston itself has one main road through the village - Barston Lane. If you are coming from the West (Knowle or Hampton-in-Arden), Oak Lane is on your left about one mile after The Malt Shovel pub. From the East you will go over the River Blythe, up into the village passing The Bull's Head pub. Shortly after, on the right, is Oak Lane.
Oak Lane is marked by an old fashioned red telephone box on the corner.
